Tableau Software
Tableau Software(desktop, server etc.) is based on breakthrough technology from Stanford University that lets you drag & drop to analyze data and create sophisticated visualizations. You can connect to data in a few clicks, then visualize and create interactive dashboards with a few more. Tableau has the ability to do ad-hoc analysis of millions of rows of data in seconds by leveraging the benefits of an in-memory engine without the limitations that the data must fit into memory.
Tableau makes interactive data visualization an integral part of understanding data. A traditional analysis tool forces you to analyze data in rows and columns, choose a subset of your data to present, organize that data into a table, then create a chart from that table. Tableau skips those steps and creates a visual representation of your data right away, giving you visual feedback as you analyze. As a result you get a much deeper understanding of your data and can work much faster than conventional methods–up to 100 times faster.

R
R is a free software environment for statistical computing and graphics. It compiles and runs on a wide variety of UNIX platforms, Windows and MacOS. R provides a wide variety of statistical (linear and nonlinear modelling, classical statistical tests, time-series analysis, classification, clustering, …) and graphical techniques, and is highly extensible. One of R’s strengths is the ease with which well-designed publication-quality plots can be produced, including mathematical symbols and formulae where needed. Great care has been taken over the defaults for the minor design choices in graphics, but the user retains full control.
